Nara is situated in the center of Japan with a population of 1.4 million. Nara is also the starting place of Japanese culture and spirits. It was called Yamato in ancient times and was region where the oldest Japanese literature began. There are many historical sites including UNESCO’s World Heritage. In addition, it takes less than one hour from Nara to Kyoto and Osaka. It is also easy to get access even to Tokyo via Kyoto and Osaka by JR Shinkansen. It is accordingly attractive and impressive to hold ICCE2014 in Nara.
